Oh the Places We Go....

I suppose it goes without saying that it has been a while, though I still feel the need to open with that excuse. It is like a part of me that has to apologize, because the thought of writing is a constant buzz in the back of my mind, yet there is just never that extra hour at the end of my day to get my myriad of thoughts into a logical place and out of my overflowing head. So in an attempt to release the growing tension between my ears, shoulder blades and recurring nightmares- I am making the time now. So much is happening- as is life everywhere. My little boy is nearly TWO ! When and how did my little 6lb 4oz Squishy grow into such a bundle of nonstop energy? A year

It has been a year since my divorce was finalized... a year . Do you know what can happen in a year?  You can fall in love You can move into your first apartment You can rescue a kitten You can survive your first "I love you" after the last one broke your heart You can get defeated by those closest to you You can watch your ex-husband move on and be happy You can survive (barely) your first holiday without your kid You can watch your life start to crumble as the facade of happiness that you put on so well starts to fade away That "love" you thought you had, you realize was more of just a band-aid over a gaping wound, or a sip of water after a few years in the desert. I wish...

With all the modern technology, it is amazing how "open" people have gotten- I suppose myself included since this is a blog. I always wonder about the things people put on Facebook about how horrible their lives are.... "I'm so stressed", "I can't believe she said that",  "nothing is going my way." It's really quite annoying.  No matter what challenges you have had to overcome in your life, if you are posting them on FB, then guess what, you seem to be doing pretty well. Obviously you have access to a computer, internet or more likely smart phone (I myself am still using a "dumb phone" and most of the time it gets the job done) They need to make a "pity party" button next to "Like" and I guarantee that the vague-booking will decrease and people will start refraining more from trying to get the sympathy of their 800+ Friends.  A very wise teacher once taught me that if you surround yourself with n...
